COURSE INTRODUCTION
I am very much looking forward to starting the course and my initial thought on receiving the course material was that there wasn't as much of it as I expected. However I soon realised by browsing through the material that a large part of the course seems to be about learning from the projects and having my work assessed. I also understand from the introduction that this course is very much about "seeing". I also realise that I really need to fully understand how my camera works in order to be able to use it "as an extension of the eye".
MY INTRODUCTION
Hi My name is Liz and this is my learning log for The Open College of Art's Art of Photography Level 1 course.
I'm doing this course as a follow up to a ten week Digital Photography course which I did with the Open University. Whilst I have been taking photos for over thirty years I feel it is a continuing learning process.
My expectation for the course is that I will learn in a structured way and will be motivated to take more and different types of photos. I hope to see an improvement in my standard of photography and also my understanding of photography with a view to completing other courses in order to complete the degree.
I have recently bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 camera
